    Edson Álvarez pide autocrítica en México: "Lo estamos haciendo mal, no solo en la cancha"

    El Machín lamentó eliminación del Tri en Qatar 2022; Luis Chávez augura cambios, "ya veremos quién se tiene que ir".

    Edson Álvarez lamentó la eliminación de México del Mundial Qatar 2022 pese a la victoria 1-2 contra Arabia Saudita, se disculpó con la afición y pidió al futbol mexicano hacer una autocrítica para saber “qué estamos haciendo mal, no solo en la cancha”.

    “Pedirles una disculpa (a la afición) porque el hecho de que vengan es increíble y es hora de hacer una gran retroalimentación de qué estamos haciendo mal, no solo en la cancha, sino en todo”, comentó El Machín a TUDN al término del partido en el Estadio Lusail.

    Edson reconoció que la eliminación del Tri en la Fase de Grupos después de ocho Copas del Mundo -desde Argentina 1978- “es un duro golpe” y hay que “ponerle el pecho a las balas”.

    “Es un duro golpe, no hay palabras, el equipo lo salió a buscar desde el minuto 1, tuvimos oportunidad de crear los goles, pero no concretamos, deja un sabor amargo, hay que ponerle el pecho a las balas”, señaló.

    El mediocampista del Tri aseguró que el partido clave para calificar a los Octavos de Final era contra Polonia, con quien empataron sin goles en su debut mundialista.

    “Era ganar contra Polonia, ese era el mejor escenario, pero sabíamos que se podía definir en este último partido, lo buscamos y nos queda ese mal sabor de boca”, indicó.

    Con cuatro puntos, México quedó fuera del Mundial Qatar 2022 por diferencia de goles. Argentina (6) y Polonia (4) lideraron el Grupo C para clasificar a los Octavos de Final.
